This is the ship I've always wanted to build since I very first heard about this hobby in the San Jose newspaper in 1997 and saw my first battle..
I've always had a soft spot for the Arizona. When I was a kid a friend gave me a plastic Arizona model for my birthday and my dad and I put it together...I always thought it was just a very attractive ship.
I had started thinking about wanting to start building an Arizona last year, and Stephen Morgret was nice enough to bring one of his hulls to the WWCC campaign game for me to look at. So... I bought myself a Christmas present this year.

Thanks. Got a lot done today. Propeller shafts are in. Rudder is in. Subdecks are sanded down to fit, however I did not epoxy them to the hull yet as it was FREEZING all day. Tomorrow I think I'll just do it indoors as I don't see it getting much warmer anytime soon.
I am hopeful that by this weekend I'll have the motors and rudder mounted and servos in and be able to cruise it around the pond sometime next week.

So do I. Hmm I wonder if that wouldn't be a better replacement for the Nelson when ever she goes.

Good battling ship Paul. History ..infamous. Unique looking. Stable platform.... The only thing that prevented me from getting that kit is the price. A little high for what it is. I opted for Mo because of it.

The Arizona has a lot more complex fiberglass work on it compared to other ships her length, which accounts for the price difference.

There is just something about US battleships. Ugly as sin but plenty of fight in them.. The Arizona would make a nice counterpart to the Tennessee

Not necessarily for NATS but a potential ship.. I think it would probably be a future build if the Nelson is sold. It would be a nice addition to the Tennessee.

The American ships have an old "classic" ww2 look to them. I like them because they had so many different looks to them depending on what time period and you can model yours to suit. The Arizona has all that plus history and would look very nice with your other one. I like gathering them for the Pearl Harbor fleet...

I love the look of the 1930's ships. The Battleships refit in the 30's and the cruisers and destroyers built in that era just have a really cool look to them.

I like the look of the WW1 American Battleships. Wish there were more built for Combat . Ithink I see an Arizona joining my Fleet.

If I add the Arizona it would give me 3 US ships in my fleet.

Good looking ship. I especially like that you kept the wood deck on each level. Nicely done!

Was the deck wood on the 01 level on Arizona? I agree it looks cool, just curious. Questions about that aside, it looks very much the business! Well done indeed.
